Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season — a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal. Observed with the imposition of ashes in the shape of a cross, the day calls believers to remember their mortality and God’s mercy, to confess what separates them from God, and to prepare their hearts for the journey toward Easter.
