DEVELOPING A BETTER CHURCH
@ HARMONY FOR YOU - OUR NEIGHBORS!

Harmony Church is currently making updates and renovations to many aspects of the church. You may have noticed recently as you drive-by that trees have been removed around the pavilion area to make it safer for everyone. We have just completed painting the entire exterior of the building and the worship area inside the building as well as landscaping, new signage and lights. We still will be installing a softer and safer surface in the playground for children when playing this fall.

THURSDAY CHAIR EXERCISE CLASS @ HARMONY CHURCH, 9:30am

Every Thursday morning at Harmony Church, you can attend a chair exercise class beginning at 9:30am. It is free, a great way to exercise without standing and to meet new people! It is held in the multipurpose room. All are invited to attend!

THOUGHT FOR SEPTEMBER

Now that we are in September, we are transitioning from summer to fall. And while this means cooler and more comfortable temperatures, it also means kids going back to school, maybe squeezing in one more quick vacation and leaving the leisure of summer behind. It also means keeping our summer clothes available for awhile and yet getting the long sleeved shirts, sweaters and sweatshirts out. Further it means getting our cars and homes ready for colder weather and winter. So while you might be welcoming the fall season, it is a reminder that we are in a transitional season. While the season has changed, it takes us some time to change with it or adjust to it. This is a reminder that change is what happens to us - and it usually happens quickly. Transition is what happens inside of us as we psychologically readjust to the outside changes. We just remembered last week the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Though that day was 25 years ago, it has changed our lives ever since. We are still adjusting to the events of that day. More recently we experienced the worldwide covid 19 pandemics. Though that was 6 years ago, we are still dealing with the effects of how it has changed our world, our political culture and even our own lives. These and other changes and transitions that occur in our live are a reminder that God is faithful and will use these times - that often feel like wilderness experiences - to make us stronger, more resilient and find our trust in Him!

May the Lord bless you and your family!
