COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE @ HARMONY, JULY 14
Harmony Church will be partnering with the Central PA Blood Bank to sponsor a community blood drive to collect blood to help save local lives! Join on Tuesday, July 14 from 1-6pm in our multipurpose room to donate blood. You will need to make a donation appointment and will need a form of ID when donating. You can register at 717GiveBlood.org and click on the DONATE button or call 800-771-0059. All donors will receive a free tee-shirt. Be sure to let your friends know about this blood drive as well. We look forward to seeing you!

JUNETEENTH DAY
Juneteenth Day is celebrated as a national holiday in the United States on June 19. It is the day we commemorate the end of slavery in the USA. It marks the day in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation - more than two years after President Lincoln initially issued it. Let's celebrate together the freedom we all share as Americans!
FATHER'S DAY
Remember June 21st is Father's Day! Let's remember all the dads and the important men in our lives that we are blessed to know or have known.
SAVE THE DATE - NEIGHBORHOOD BACK TO SCHOOL BINGO OUTDOOR DOOR
Harmony Church will be sponsoring this free neighborhood event on Sunday, August 16, from 2-4pm. More details will be coming soon, but this is a free event for the whole family to come out and have fun together and meet new people and reconnect with others you haven't seen in a while!
HARMONY CHURCH PARTNERING WITH STARFISH MINISTRIES
Starfish Ministries serves the homeless in the Harrisburg area. The women's group of Harmony Church will be preparing and serving lunch for around 150 homeless people on Sunday, July 12. They will also be handing out free items that are needed by the homeless population in the Harrisburg area. If you would like to learn more about this organization, go to starfishministrieshbg.org
DEVELOPING A BETTER CHURCH @ HARMONY FOR YOU OUR NEIGHBORS!
Harmony Church is currently making updates and renovations to many aspects of the church. You may have noticed recently as you drive-by that trees have been removed around the pavilion area to make it safer for everyone. We have just completed painting the entire exterior of the building and the worship area inside the building. We still have much to do outside including making the surface of the playground area softer and safer for children when playing, landscaping and new signage and lighting. Stay tuned for updates on continued renovations to make our grounds, building and guest services better for you as our neighbors!

FOR YOU LADIES!
If you are a woman looking for a place to connect with other women, find a sense of community or looking for a place to both grow personally and be involved in service projects to benefit others, this might be the place for you. Times and events for women to get together are being planned for this spring and summer. Service projects will include making meals for Starfish Ministry and CARES Homeless shelter. A yard sale and bake sale is scheduled for June 5-6. More details will be forthcoming soon. THURSDAY CHAIR EXERCISE CLASS @ HARMONY CHURCH, 9:30am
Every Thursday morning at Harmony Church, you can attend a chair exercise class beginning at 9:30am. It is free, a great way to exercise without standing and to meet new people! It is held in the multipurpose room. All are invited to attend!
SURFACE BREAKERS LIFE GROUP @ HARMONY CHURCH
If you are looking for a space to connect with other people and talk about the ups and downs of life, this might be the group for you. This group meets each first and third Monday of the month from 7:00-8:00pm at Harmony Church. It is not a class. Each week is different. You don't have to talk; you can just attend and listen. You are always welcome to give it a try. If you decide it's not for you, no one will pressure you. The purpose of the group is to help people in our neighborhood find connection and community with others.
