ANNOUNCEMENTS & UPCOMING EVENTS

LENTEN THEME: "FAITH IN QUESTION"

 Our theme will be "Faith in Question." It will deal with the doubts that many people, including Christians have about their faith and why people are deconstructing their faith or rejecting Christianity altogether. If you have ever doubted or questioned what you believe to be true, or have struggled to be a person of faith, join us during Lent as we wrestle with a very real, but often not-talked about topic.

TUESDAY FITNESS CLASS

The Tuesday evening fitness class that begins at 6:30pm includes Zumba, strength training, flexibility, yoga and cardio.    Cost is $5 per person and classes are 45 minutes long and will be held in the multipurpose room and conducted by a certified instructor. All levels of fitness are invited to participate.

2023 HARMONY CHURCH GOALS

INCLEMENT WEATHER CANCELLATION INFORMATION

Should Harmony Church need to close for in-person worship due to inclement weather this winter, you will be notified by email and it will appear on our Facebook page as well as on our website. We will make the decision based on what would be the safest decision for people and if our parking area and sidewalks have been prepared in time for worship depending on when the winter weather comes.

COMMUNION SUNDAY, MARCH 26

Communion will be served at the conclusion of our worship service on March 26. All persons are welcome to partake of communion. The communion elements, which will be prepackaged, both regular and gluten-free, may be picked up as you enter the sanctuary for worship

GOOD FRIDAY PRAYER WALK, APRIL 7th

A prayer walk, sponsored by the Dillsburg Area Churches, will be held at 12 noon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and conclude at Dill's Tavern. 

BREAKFAST @ HARMONY CHURCH, April 8th

Breakfast, including pancakes, egg sandwiches, bacon/sausage and more, will be served in the multipurpose room from 8:30-10:30am. All are welcome! There is no charge, but donations will gladly be accepted.

EASTER SUNDAY WORSHIP

Join us Easter Sunday, April 8, to celebrate the life and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ at 10:30am. All are welcome and please invite friends and family.

DILLSBURG COMMUNITY WEEKLY PRAYER GATHERING

Each Wednesday a prayer gathering is being held to pray for the Dillsburg community. There will be an emphasis on praying for our schools, churches, first responders and government leaders in the Dillsburg area. There will be no formal agenda nor anyone leading but persons are invited to come and go as time permits. There will be prayer guides provided. This will be held each Wednesday from noon-1pm at Compass Point Church, 15 East Church St., Dillsburg

HARMONY LADIES MINISTRY

Our Hearts in Harmony Ladies Ministry is organizing a day trip this spring to the Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum for their annual Herb and Garden Faire on Friday, May 12. Details as follows:

  • We will meet at the church at 8:00am and car pool to the farm. (It is approximately 1 hr 45min drive)  

  • The Ladies ministry is able to cover the entrance fee to the farm. 

  • Please bring spending money for food or other goods provided at this event as you see fit.  

  • We will plan to leave by 2:00pm or before which will allow us to be back at the church by around 4:00pm

NEW HOPE WINTER DRIVE ENDS MARCH 19

This winter we are collecting the following items: diapers, laundry detergent, toilet paper, baby wipes and canned fruit and vegetables.  Our winter drive will end Sunday and our spring drive will begin April 2nd.

"CARES - MORE THAN A SHELTER" WINTER COLLECTION ENDS MARCH 26

Homelessness is a real issue in Cumberland County and our surrounding area. Each winter we partner with CARES to help provide items that are needed for the homeless, especially during the brutal months of winter. We have been asked to provide some of the following items: sweat pants for males and females, undershirts for both men and women, blankets, gloves, winter hats, socks and sweat shirts. We will be collecting through March 26th.

HARMONY'S CAFE

Our café is open every Sunday morning.  If you would like to sign up to contribute items to our café for everyone to enjoy, please do so in the café at the sign-up sheet. We appreciate your help!
